Once upon a time, a mother whispered secrets of the sea to her child, murmuring of sirens and mermaids that live deep beneath the waves. "mon petit cœur, when you feel lost or afraid, return to the ocean, there you will find a home." The daughter had peered up at her mother, eyes gleaming in the moonlight. "But Momma, how can I get lost if I have you?" the young girl would ask, not receiving a response from her mother, who's eyes had been drawn to the everchanging tides. Sniffles, hardly heard over the sound of waves crashing against the beach, left the snowy feline as she awoke from her dream, though it was more memory than imagination. She rose to a seated position, wiping quickly at her face as she gathered herself and her thoughts. Once she had finally calmed, she decided that she wouldn't be able to sleep again anytime soon. Her mind was too full of turmoil and a walk may do her good. Leaping down from the rock she had deemed her bed that night, she huffed as paws hit soft sand. A soft noise left her as she stretched her body, the last remnants of sleep leaving her. After a moment of standing there looking around, she began to trudge forward, aimlessly walking down the beach. To an onlooker, her pace would seem sluggishly slow, tail leaving a trail in the sand behind her as she kept her eyes to the ground, unfocused. template by orion Re: you're gonna want to be my best friend, baby || Gamelia - GAMELIA B . - 04-08-2020 Re: you're gonna want to be my best friend, baby || Gamelia - Simon F.M. - 04-08-2020 To give me some diagnosis of why I'm so hollow

A quiet voice broke the felines daydream-like state, almost startling her. When had she sat down? She couldn't remember, she had been so lost in her head. "Yeah, why wouldn't I be?" Surprise filled the snowy feline as her voice cracked under the weight of her tears. Oh. She had started crying again. She quickly wiped at her face, shaking her head before forcing a smile to appear on her maw. "I'm alright, Gamelia, it's just a rough night." She cleared her throat, eyes quickly glancing up and down the beach for more people that may approach her during her moment of vulnerability. Satisfied they were really alone, she turned her gaze back to the candy-covered dragon. "What has you up so late?" template by orion Re: you're gonna want to be my best friend, baby || Gamelia - GAMELIA B . - 04-08-2020 Re: you're gonna want to be my best friend, baby || Gamelia - Simon F.M. - 04-08-2020 To give me some diagnosis of why I'm so hollow

Diya kept eyes on the dragoness as she approached, looking back to the beach and its waves as Gamelia settled beside her. She laid down a huff, resting her head on her paws and tucking her tail firmly against her side. She kept her head tilted towards the candied beast, baby blue eyes meeting red. "I suppose tonight is just the night for dreams," she'd muse, a yawn rippling from her maw. "Despite how tired I am, I don't think I can get back to sleep either." The were-vampire gave another yawn, her fangs, which recently she had been unable to hide away, reflecting the moonlight. her maw snapped shut, giving Gamelia a sympathetic smile. template by orion Re: you're gonna want to be my best friend, baby || Gamelia - GAMELIA B . - 04-08-2020 Re: you're gonna want to be my best friend, baby || Gamelia - Simon F.M. - 04-09-2020 To give me some diagnosis of why I'm so hollow

Diya thought nothing of Gamelia's stares, and to be fare she had been doing some staring of her own, though most likely for different reasons. That and, she tended to zone out, focusing only on the scent of the ocean salt or the dragon's silky voice among the crashing waves. "You'd probably have a better time sleeping in a bed than out in the night chill," Diya shook her head, focusing her gaze on the vast ocean, the moonlight's glow rippling across the water. "Sleeping in a bed requires having a bed. Mine went up in flames some time ago," she would admit, releasing a huff of air. Her mother's words echoed in her mind. "return to the ocean, there you will find a home" she murmured softly, more to herself than anything. She cleared her throat, focusing back on her indigo companion. "The beach is the closest thing to comfort I've got." template by orion Re: you're gonna want to be my best friend, baby || Gamelia - GAMELIA B . - 04-10-2020 Re: you're gonna want to be my best friend, baby || Gamelia - Simon F.M. - 04-11-2020 To give me some diagnosis of why I'm so hollow

"Are you sure you're alright out here all on your own?" Diya opened her mouth to say something in response, most likely along the lines of "it's not like I have any family to be here with me" or something equally as depressing. She wasn't granted the chance though, as the indigo dragon took off with orders to wait. With a huff, she tucks her paws beneath herself, laying her head down and closing her eyes as she waited. She remained there, as instructed, wondering where the oddball dragon had gone off to. Snowy ears flicked at the sound of sand crunching under-paw, the sweet smell of sugar alerting the keen-sensed feline to the dragon's approach. She peeked an eye open to spot what was causing the odd gait of the reptile, surprised when she found the source to be a lengthy blanket. She felt a wave of emotion washing over her, roaring in her ears. She was quiet as the blanket was tossed over her. Nestling into it, she sniffled, tugging it partially over her head until only her face stuck out. Gamelia had gone and... got a blanket for them to use. Not even a spare one but, she said it had come from her own bed. She had pulled a blanket, that would become sand-caked and salt water-soaked, from her own bed. Maybe it was the exhaustion, maybe it was the stress or the fact that she hadn't eaten recently, but the kindness of such a fact brought tears to the feline's eyes. she sniffles, tears silently soaking her pale cheeks. template by orion Re: you're gonna want to be my best friend, baby || Gamelia - GAMELIA B . - 04-11-2020 |
