SOMETHING TO LOVE / hushsound - MERGED - 11-01-2019

[align=center][div style="text-align:justify;width:55%;font-family:verdana"]did i forget to make this? yup [member=8296]hushsound.[/member] [member=6838]stilly.[/member]

kilius wasn't sure where in camp he was, but he didn't really care. he was just happy laying in the sun and ignoring literally everything around him. he could hear the clinking of a sword going by, and he immediately knew who it was. the tiny little feline called hushsound. he liked hush, he seemed like a nice guy, a bit quiet but he understood why. not everyone liked talking. "hello there, hush. you're extra clang-y today. heh heh."

When Kilius had first arrived within the borders of the Typhoon, Hush hadn't thought too much of him. He was a very odd fellow, and he made Hush feel oddly irritated for some reason, at least when the other first joined. Perhaps it was just because Kilius was yet another member of the group that couldn't understand him unless he spoke, something he was quite keen on not doing. Still, he shouldn't hold that against Kilius. After all, it wasn't as if the other male had blinked himself intentionally – at least, he hadn't as far as Hush knew, but he had only known the other male a couple of days. Hush had been moving through camp slowly, looking around for something that he could help out with, when he heard Kilius's voice cut through the silence. He flinched a little bit, his ears flattening down at the other's words. He knew that his sword produced noise when it clanged against his side, but he didn't think it was that loud. Perhaps Kilius's ears were just extra sensitive thanks to his condition. Turning to face Kilius, the golden feline flicked his tail from side to side, before he said back, in his soft and rough voice, hoarse as always, "Hello, Kilius. Sorry if the sword annoys you,. I just keep it on me all the time, in case a fight breaks out." Hopefully that wouldn't be happening too often as of late, what with the Pitt being dealt with at the moment and all, but Hush would rather be safe than sorry.

[align=center][div style="text-align:justify;width:55%;font-family:verdana"]”i actually quite like the clanging! no need to apologise, yeh heh." he seemed to be always giggle at the end of his sentences, like he’d said something funny. maybe it was funny to him, liking something that was so loud to him- hush was right about the hypersensitive hearing. thanks to being a canine and blind, his hearing was much better then most people’s. "it makes it much easier to find you, all i have to do is listen for a clang, clang, clang or a pen scribble and i’ll know right we’re you are.. we llc not exactly, im not that good of a blind man, unfortunately. heh."

When it came down to it, Hush truly didn't see what Kilius found so amazing about his or Hush's words. He could only assume that Kilius was amused, considering he has never heard someone snicker like that before when they weren't amused, but perhaps he was missing something. Hush had been getting better as of late on picking up social cues he might've missed in the last, but perhaps this was just something he couldn't understand...? Still, he just shook it off, figuring that it wasn't that important at the moment to question. Refocusing on Kilius's words, Hush found it... odd, to say the least, that Kilius liked the sound of his sword clanging against his side. He supposed that what the other male said was true – it made him much easier to pinpoint – but surely the annoyance of the noise would outweigh the benefits, right? Still, it seemed as though Kilius was being earnest, and Hush found himself shrugging despite the lack of sight as he mumbled, "I suppose that is true... although it's not as if I would try to sneak up on you if I didn't have my sword strapped yo my side. But I suppose if you're looking for me... not sure why you'd really need me, anyways." He shifted his paws a bit awkwardly, a little uncomfortable frown gracing his muzzle. After all, it wasn't as if he was a very important member of the group. Former Hero of the Wild or not, he wasn't a hero here. Not yet, at least. Eager to get off of the subject of himself, Hush decided to focus on his curiosity over Kilius's senses. Tilting his head to one side, the small golden feline asked as he lifted the Hylia charm necklace he had around his neck up a little, letting it fall back down against his chest, "Hey... could you hear my necklace just now?"

[align=center][div style="text-align:justify;width:55%;font-family:verdana"]he was very used to people testing what he could and couldn't hear. as hush started to pull the necklace up, he heard it faintly, but when it fell is when he really heard it. "its easier to hear it drop, i think. i can hear it a little when its lifted but its mostly silent." he offered, tilting his head as he leaned his head forward to search for the necklace to lift the chair and let it drop. it was mostly just a lot of poking hush before he finally found it. "maybe? heh heh."

Hush felt himself nod a little bit when Kilius spoke about how much he was able to hear from the necklace and the attached charm, but he was startled when the other male stepped forward, his head craning in with interest. Unused to anyone really touching him, Hush felt a blush come up to his face beneath his golden fur, resisting the strong urge to yank himself away from Kilius's poking. He was grateful for the fact that Kilius couldn't see him right now, given the bashful expression that currently occupied his face, and the way that his paws temporarily flinched upward, nearly pushing Kilius back. When the other picked up the chain and let it drop, speaking softly, Hush let out a soft breath of relief, glad to not be out of his comfort zone anymore. Well, at least not in that aspect. He was still speaking out loud, after all. He then mumbled as he calmed himself, his fur flattening back out along his spine as he spoke, "I don't know why, I was just curious about if you would hear it. I've worn this necklace ever since I was just a little kitten, so I wasn't sure if that was contributing somewhat to you being able to hear me."

Re: SOMETHING TO LOVE / hushsound - MERGED - 11-02-2019

[align=center][div style="text-align:justify;width:55%;font-family:verdana"]a soft hum left the maned wold as the glowing flame over his eyes seemed to grow brighter for a moment. "what does it look like?" he asked curiously, returning to his previous position that was.. very cat like. all of his paws were tucked, and to him it was a very comfortable way to sit. maybe it would seem odd to others, but he found it perfectly normal. "i gave fern a necklace. i don't think he's worn it since i lost my sight.. it was ugly, heh heh."

Re: SOMETHING TO LOVE / hushsound - hushsound. - 11-02-2019

Hush found himself blinking in surprise as Kilius asked him what his necklace looked like, also unused to others showing so much interest in him. After all, he was just a lowly crew member, and this was probably the most he had talked in weeks... was he really worth asking about his habits and things...? Still, it felt rude to ignore the question, so Hush shuffled his paws before meowing softly, "Erm, well... it's a bit hard to explain. It's made of silver, but it's the mark of Hylia. Hylia was a goddess back where I'm from, and her symbol is a large bird body with outstretched wings and three triangles arranged in a larger triangle for a head. The triangles together are called the triforce, and they're said to have immense power." His paws dug in reflexively, as if he could still feel the triforce of courage on the back of his hand. He then took in the way that Kilius was laying, finding himself a little bit dumbfounded. Despite being a feline himself, he rarely laid in the "loaf" position, instead preferring to spread out as much as possible. Still, he shook it off, figuring it rude to ask. Instead, he just mumbled softly, "You gave Fern a necklace...? Do you remember what it looked like?"

[align=center][div style="text-align:justify;width:55%;font-family:verdana"]as soon as hush mentioned power, his head tilted and he smiled slightly. power had always been something he was interested in, but he knew the prices that magic and power had- thats why he was blind, after all. he seemed lost in thought for a moment, before he was broken from those thoughts at the mention of fern. "oh, yeah. it was a weird necklace with a stone charm. had some weird symbols. i could probably draw it.. i've got the symbol practically ingrained in my head!"

Re: SOMETHING TO LOVE / hushsound - hushsound. - 11-02-2019

Hush had never truly been one for seeking out power, really. It always seemed as though power just ended up thrust upon him in times of need, against all odds and any will he had to stop it. It wasn't that he really minded playing the hero, and he certainly wasn't about to let villains such as Ganon just trample the land unchecked, but power was never something that he had actively sought, unlike Kilius. When the male nodded an answer to his question, Hush blinked and tilted his head to one side before mumbling, his tail flicking behind him as he shifted to a more comfortable position, "I see... so I take it you haven't always been blind, then? I mean, you'd have to have not been at some point to have seen the necklace."
