This was... Seas.  The dire wolf frowned as she padded forward.  Ears perked as she caught Lumia's explanation.  Sightless hues narrowed.  It was kind and hopeful and the dealer... She understood, yet... That was a lot of trust Lumia was putting into a Coalitioner who supposedly seemed 'good'.

Keona couldn't afford to be so quick.  No.  "Lumia." Maybe it was cold, but she couldn't.  She couldn't risk it.  "We can't just take in a member of the Coalition on the basis he might be nice." Too reckless.

The dealer sighed softly, tilting her head towards Ravenwood. "And you, do you want this?" It was Lumia's invite after all.  What was his opinion on joining the enemy?

A screech wasn't... Exactly what the dire wolf expected from the shore.  Ears flicking as the dealer stepped out of the tavern.  From the gentle clamor of voices in casual conversation, she knew nothing bad was happening.  No.  The screech sounded kinda of familiar, really.  Like she'd heard it a few times before.

Keona hummed softly as she padded over to the group, catching the tail ends of words spoken.  Gunnleif.  One of Roxanne and Diya's children.  Okay.  Reminded her a little of... Well.  Natyli.  Of course, if Natyli made a bunch of random noises while running, the fae had never heard them.  Thankfully.

The canine nodded as Lumia spoke.  Sightless hues flickering in thought.  Yes, the summer would make running more difficult.  He could always switch to nighttime runs though, she supposed, flicking an ear.

"Aloha," she offered softly, brows creased.  "'m Keona, if you don't know.  If you've been at it for a while, don't forget to stop by the tavern for some water.  I don't think Roan would like you dehydrating yourself." Her brother had enough stress.

For one tailed by a young hooded crow, the murder is a blaring sound.  Sensitive ears flicking down.  Biting back irritation.  Too loud.  Was everything always this loud?  At least the crow following her, however sharp-minded, remained silent for now.  This wasn't Fala's murder.  If she had one.

The dire wolf herself is quiet too, coming to halt besides Diya without a word.  Sightless hues resting towards the sounds.  Murmurs of poetry.  Odd to catch by the railway.  Something more reserved for time tucked away in the sky parlor.  Teasing Salem on his extensive memory of Edgar Allan Poe.  Soft smiles when he recited their favorite pieces into the night.

Displaced, she hummed softly in acknowledgement.  Head tilting.  Fala settled on her shoulders.  CAWing back once in a way Keona could only identify as territorial.  Still unsure why the bird insisted on staying with her.  How she managed to grow attached to the dealer.  She was a smart bird... She could probably get back where she came from... But she didn't.

The fae shifted her weight to be more comfortable with her avian companion, lines of another Sandburg poem echoing in her mind.  Staying within.  The words would not pass the dealer's lips.  Uninterested in open reading among the unfamiliar.  The sea speaks.  And only the stormy hearts Know what it says.

It was an interesting choice, as Diya said.  The canine wondered if the crow read it or heard it somewhere.

Tired.  There was a lingering exhaustion in the dire wolf as she padded into the dome.  Silent as she took her usual seat along the edges of the front row, tail resting listlessly at her side.  Sightless hues resting on some distant point.

Her ear twitched slightly as Natyli joined her as she often did.  The young jaguaress sat without a sound for the first time.  Waiting for the news.

It's chaos and blood and death and the dealer had to keep her cool.  Couldn't lose her focus.  The whole reason they were here.  She had to find them, breath stilling as she caught the sound of both a howling response and a more feline yowl.  Danny.  Vayne.

She knew Salem was right behind her.  Silent but watching her back.  Her ears perked as she shifted course.  Diving into the caverns without hesitation.  Chasing after the howl.  Nose inhaling sharply the iron in the air.  And Danny.  She knew he was here.  She knew she was close.

They were going to get him home.

Keona scrambled to a halt outside the other wolf's cell, sightless hues flashing.  Could taste blood in the air.  He was hurt.  They hurt him.  "Danny!" Perhaps not entirely thought through, rammed herself into the bars in an attempt to open them.  Muttering as her head rang.  Not her best plan, but she was... Seas she was just relieved to find him.

Releasing a breath.  "Stand back," she advised before slamming her paws against the closed cell with a harsh gust of wind, the entrance flying open.

"Let's get you home."

The ringing easily caught the dire wolf's ears.  Subconsciously turning her head towards the sound and padding towards the railroad.  Hopefully it was just a joiner or a trader... She was rather... Restless lately.  The Coalition's antics a strain on her otherwise steady moods.

Sightless hues rested ahead curiously, head dipping lightly in a polite greeting.  "Aloha," she offered softly.

"What is your business with the Typhoon?"

Methodic.  The wolf had moved on a different path than her crewmates.  Held back for a time.  A considerable distance.  For a single purpose.  Danny.  A clear howl that cut through the air.  Between the miles left between.  Simple warning.  We're coming for you.

Only then, the dealer moved to catch up with her crewmates as the battle began.  Larger now, but no less intent on moving with stealth.  With discretion.  Despite a burning fury she would not rush in.  Letting Roxanne and Diya take the front as she slipped into the following chaos of battle.  Moving instead with the intent to find.  To locate her taken crewmates.

On the prowl, there would be no hesitation should a wanderer step in her way.  Her connection to the elements were buzzing beneath her skin.  Waiting for the moment.  Waiting for the excuse.  She would kill them all if she had to.

The dire wolf had been furious upon the news of Danny's capture.  A ferocity that only grew with each passing day.  More as others were taken.  An ice cold rage that churned inside.

The dealer remained razor focused.  Checking in.  Doing her rounds.  Working through plans of attack and retrieval in her mind.  But a headcount... Good.  That was good.  She appreciated the notion as soon as she heard Roan call for it, ear flicking as she quietly padded over.

They needed to know who was okay.  Who wasn't.  If anyone else was missing.  She and the others needed to know these things.  Calculate their best moves more efficiently.

As Deldrach offered to be the first, Keona remained to the side, inhaling softly.  Already crunching numbers.  Paying attention to those around her.  Who was present.  Who wasn't.  The stragglers.  Everyone in between, her sightless hues sharp with concentrated thought.

Keona's memories of her mother were... Faint.  Virtually nonexistent, though she held onto what she had.  A voice.  What little else she recalled came more from her father than her, considering how young she had been when she died.  She even knew her language... But once again, that was mostly thanks to her father.

Of course, the dire wolf didn't even really know about mother's day.  Only heard from passing conversations it had been coming up.  It sounded like a nice concept, she supposed.  To honor one's mother.  So long as the mother was... A good mother, but in the case of Vayne's, the fae had no doubt of that.

So she joined Lumia in silence, smiling softly.  She hardly wanted to interrupt the nice family time.

'The Coalition took Danny!'  An ice sank into the wolf's soul.  A deep wrath that set seagreen hues ablaze.  Keona's steps were slow and measured, ears flat.  Listening but not quite... Hearing yet.  Nose flaring.  Pacing the length of the scene.  Checking for any iron in the air.  Any sign of blood.

Even without finding any... Lumia was right.  He was likely in danger.  And the fury of the fact settled into her core.  Enraged anyone would dare take Danny away from them.

Danny.  Who cried when he thought she drowned.  Who's howl had grown so much stronger.  Who she met under the table in a storm.

Her head moved to a small nod.  "We will," a quiet, icy echo of Roxanne's promise.  Withholding a deeper, more violent decree.  Keona would rip them all apart if she had to.

Off-guard.  Not a common state of mind for the dealer.  To find herself startled was rare.  Only truly growing in happenstance due to her current adjustment as a wolf; rarely in response to a clanmate.

Yet Keona found herself blinking slow.  Caught by a strange feeling.  Not quite guilt, considering she hardly felt... She had been perfectly safe.  Most of her clanmates knew about her abilities.  Yet something in Harland's voice reminded her of her father, Kian.  Took her back to her days as a kit.

Had it been someone else... Any other tone, she might've been put off.  Offended.  Fully capable of taking care of herself.  Had been curious.  Hardly even testing her limits.  Came up earlier than necessary.  Didn't want to waste a whole day away to a personal curiosity.  Now she wondered if her father would be in a similar state of concern.  He probably would've gone in after me. Wouldn't have waited past an hour or two.

And it wouldn't be out of... A distrust or disregard to her skills.  No.  Her father knew her.  Watched her grow up.  It was him she inherited those abilities from.  In the end, it would have simply been because he was a father.  Out of care.

Any word of assurance she may have gathered slipped her mind.  Stuck to her tongue when her ears caught the soft start of Danny's sobs.  Truly startled now, Keona felt her stomach twist.  Sensitive.  Danny had always been terribly sensitive.  Emotions close to the surface.  So unlike the fae yet she had grown fond of him regardless.  Proud as he grew.  The same sort of pride she felt in Roan.  "Danny...Seas.

The calm distance she often maintained with others... Felt cracked.  Splintering more as she felt Salem's head rest against her leg.  The close proximity not... Unusual between the two.  Salem had been an exception to her preference of physical space for many moons.  Yet it carried something more heavy with it this time.  And she remembered the horrible desperation, in her drugged mind, frantically swimming for him before she woke as a wolf.  It wasn't a feeling she'd wish on him.

Salem knew better than everyone of her connection to the ocean.  Had known her the longest.  Sat with her on the shore countless nights.  He had been with her when the volcano erupted and the two got swept away.  She couldn't fight the ocean then.  Couldn't keep them both afloat.  He knew.  He knew she had limits.

And while Roan arrived to voice the most stubborn thoughts in her mind, Keona could hardly muster annoyance or irritation.  Much less against Danny's tears.  Sightless hues flickering.  She had spent her entire life making sure no one worried about her.  She wasn't sure how she managed to pull in an entire trio like this.

"I was..." Goodness.  It was always the same with her.  The same exact reason she had given howling a try.  "Curious."  Likely not the most reassuring fact to the worried trio, but it told Roan the purpose of her little 'practice'.  Not really a test, despite the impressive length of time, no.  She just wanted to know what it was like.  Sitting beneath the waves.

Softly, she continued to speak to the three.  "I would not have gone under, if I couldn't come back up."  Steady.  A promise. "I'm okay.  I did not mean to worry you."

Felt strange to make the journey with larger paws.  Even if Michael had not come along, she may have wondered if she had the path right but... She did.  It just felt... A little off.

As she halted on the sands, the dire wolf gave Kasper a small smile.  "I don't know any other deserts," she offered softly in reassurance.  Not a direct yes or no but... The kid was excited.  And it was true.  She didn't know any other group with territory including desert and jungle.  It was an environment belonging to distinctly to the Pitt.

Besides, Michael had even offered a name to the potential father in question.  It sounded like they had a shark-cat.

Patiently, Keona took a seat, shuffling her paws over the warm sand.  She hardly minded waiting but it was certainly... Hotter than she remembered.  Maybe her fur was thicker.

While the bell gathered her attention as usual, it was hissing back at the black mambas, that truly caught the dire wolf's interest.  Sightless seagreen hues flickered in a brief display of amusement.  She certainly didn't feel any ill will toward the snakes but... No one had ever hissed back at them.  Not where the dealer could hear it anyway.

The faint traces of a smile tugged on her lips.  Roxanne had already made the necessary inquiry though, so the canine remained quiet for the moment, offering a soft, "aloha," in greeting.

Kasper Northwest.  Well.  The name remained unfamiliar, but the wolf inclined her head, ears perked in gentle attention.  Nodding as she understood, though she knew no shark-cats (not that she'd be the best at 'spotting' them) she had a feeling about where he was talking about.

"I believe you're looking for the Pitt." She knew the desert more than the jungle, but it was there.  It was the only group with the description he sought.   "I can take you there, Kasper." she offered after a moment of thought.

Giving directions were... Not her strong suit after all.  But she could certainly guide him there and she hardly minded the trip.

The dire wolf knew the desert.  It came with a mixed past.  Imprisonment.  Family.  What was once bitterness had become more curiosity.  A strange change, yet not unnecessarily unwelcome.  She found her cousins like-minded.  Quiet.  Thoughtful.

She would know exactly where Kasper was looking for.  Once she understood his search.

Until then, the familiar scent of Palm Glades brought the canine forward.  Sightless seagreen hues rested gently towards the stranger.  Head dipping. "Aloha," she offered softly.  "Can I help you?"
